OBJECTIVES

Develop software capabilities: Learn and apply C# Programming skills to build custom software add-ons that automate engineering workflows.

Bridge engineering and automation: Use your understanding of mechatronic systems to contribute to Smart Design Tools that improve accuracy, efficiency, and productivity in industrial plant design.

Deliver real-world solutions: Support the development of features like Automated Pipework Layouts, Intelligent Reporting Systems and Customized Software Solutions designed to provide our clients with a competitive edge in the marketplace.

JOB SUMMARY

ParaMatic Developments is seeking a newly qualified Mechatronics Engineer to join our team and grow into a software-focused role. In this position, you’ll learn to code in C# and contribute to the development of Automation Tools that enhance industrial plant design — including pipework layout automation and intelligent reporting solutions. This is a unique opportunity to combine your engineering background with smart software automation, working on impactful solutions used by engineers globally.

BENEFICIAL SKILLS

  • Flexibility in moving between various projects being developed simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Unified Modelling Language and the use of UML in planning and designing software solutions.
  • Experience with C#
  • Experience with SQL Database development.
  • Familiarity with web-based development such as ASP.NET Core and Microsoft Azure services.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Include, but not limited to:

  • Learn and apply C# programming to develop engineering software add-ons and automation tools
  • Assist in design and implementation of automation solutions
  • Develop and maintain intelligent reporting tools to support engineering workflows
  • Translate engineering requirements into software features and improvements
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and software developers on project planning and delivery
  • Test, debug, and refine code to ensure functionality, performance, and accuracy
  • Document development processes, workflows, and user guides for created tools
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute innovative ideas to enhance automation
  • Stay up to date with industry trends in engineering automation and software development
  • Support the rollout and integration of tools into real-world engineering environments

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education:
    • B.Eng or B.Tech.
    • NSS

EXPERIENCE:

0-2 years of experience in a similar role (internship experience can be included).
